Radio BurgerFuel: Play It Strange x Big Fan Press Play

Posted by BurgerFuel

Youth music organisations Big Fan and Play It Strange have joined forces for Press Play – an annual panel and showcase, designed to shine a spotlight on emerging artists.

The evening opened with a panel discussion about breaking into the Aotearoa music industry, featuring artist Emerson, Casey Yeoh (NZ On Air Music), and Zac Arnold (Creative Director at Naked PR).

Following the chat the crowd refuelled with BurgerFuel before the showcase kicked off. Seven up-and-coming performers, all alumni of Big Fan and Play It Strange’s Ignite Programme all got on stage. Emerson kicked us off, followed by singer songwriter Alex Sulusulu, alternative pop singer Laine, rapper Ngatoro Wilson, hiphop duo Josh Engu and En Passant, indie band Tangerino, and electronic producer duo Could Be closing out the night.

Thanks to everyone who showed up for Press Play and supported emerging artists this NZ Music Month. Check out what went down at the event .
