People with Passion - Petes 'DAMAGED GOODS' Rat Rod

Built from scratch in the shed, this beast is not for the purists...

The 'Damaged Goods' Rat Rod was built from scratch by Pete and his son, Anthony. Both handy on the tools...but generally making it up as they went along. 

The 1928 Dodge four door sedan body has been converted to a two-door delivery style and has had a serious roof chop. This machine has been left unpainted to suit the rat rod theme and wouldn't be out of place in a Mad Max movie scene.

The chassis is from a Mitsubishi L200 Ute which has been modified to suit the Dodge body. The engine is a crate 350 Chev running a Holley 600 carb. The Drive line is a combination of a Turbo 350 auto and factory Mitsi L200 diff with a custom drive shaft. The brakes are reconditioned factory L200 items and the interior is super basic to suit the rat rod theme, with only the essentials required.

 

Running 15x7 Steel Rims (225 x 50 Tyres) in the front and 17x10 Custom Steel Rims (295x65 Tyres) in the rear, the rod makes a statement. And Pete must know someone on the inside with his custom designed 'Damaged Goods' window decals by BurgerFuel's 'Creative, Sweet' resident artist, Haser.

You'll find this beast parked up at one of the beaches on the Hibiscus Coast or outside the local BurgerFuel Whangaparaoa store.

And the boys are now working on a new Chev 3100 Pickup project, due to hit the road this summer.
