How did you first get involved with BurgerFuel? I’m actually not a big fan of Burgers (I’m more like a rice person, ha) but my mate treated me, and took me to have my first Burger in NZ from BurgerFuel to prove that good burgers do exist. He was right and I can still taste my first Bacon Backfire like it was yesterday. BurgerFuel is my first and only full-time job in NZ. I was lucky enough to get the role when BurgerFuel opened a brand-new store in Hamilton back in 2012. I have since moved my way up the ranks and am currently working as a Franchisee Area Manager for multiple stores for a really amazing company.
What was the thing that attracted you the most to BurgerFuel? Genuinely friendly staff, the fast-paced, really fun and positive work atmosphere, the loud culture (never a dull moment). BurgerFuel is also a very progressive company to work for and has made me who I am, working day in and day out in a flourishing work environment.
What do you tell your mates and family about your job, what are the perks? Definitely the free burgers!! Also being able to utilise my creativity when customising my own burger to make my taste buds burst with happiness. In my current role I also get the chance to travel to different parts of the country, meeting the amazing people who are working in our stores and creating good relationships with the team.
